THE SPLASH THAT MAKES THE DASH 1965

Goggle Hat
Antonelli

... White linen plus glass: a show stopper in the latest Italian shows.

Current Then - Current Now

Only thirty-eight, French indie singer-songwriter and multi-instramentalist, Sebastien Tellier, can turn-out a single that has all the sixties punch of a Brian Wilson original. This particular tune, Divine, has a light and up-beat "Beach Boys" texture with just enough complexity to command repeated listening. I find the song totally reminiscent of the California sound of the mid-sixties.

Bare Essential
Asuncion Bastida

... Embroidered bolero, jet on tulle.

The Skivvy
Damon

Straight waffle-knitted wool in this-minute shape - round neck and chopped sleeves. The original T-shirt dress, sold millions in every conceivable knit and color.

Ringoing
Cartier

All worn at once - a conglomeration of gold, platinum and fiery stones splashed on every finger.

Castlecliff

... Black metal glowing with flame-coloured stones.

K.J.L.

Armloads of beads in thick bright clusters with big clasps of enamel and stones.

Postman's Bag
Jana

The go-everywhere t-cup dog and fashion bag decades before Vuitton's carrier made popular in the new millennium.
